Responsibilities

Operate daily maintenance responsibilities under the mentorship and direction of the Service Manager

Respond to resident maintenance requests and concerns in a timely, respectful, and professional manner

Ensure that vacant apartment homes are made ready for new residents

Help organize and inventory maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies

Assist in community inspections and keeping the community free of trash and debris

Be in the on-call rotation for after hour emergencies

Be the Service Manager’s backup when they are unavailable and perform various community maintenance functions

Complete service tasks in times of emergency or on-call

Keep open communication with the Service Manager and Community Director regarding service and community updates

Assist the Service Manager on special maintenance projects such as preventive building maintenance, mechanical components, pool equipment and mechanics

Required

A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in apartment home repair including general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical knowledge, along with mechanical and equipment repairs

EPA and HVAC certifications, or the willingness to obtain them

Must have knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations

Must have excellent customer service and a positive resident experience focused mentality

Should be able to work a flex schedule if necessary and a willingness to be on-call for emergencies

Possession of a valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months
