They are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to be responsible for the design of bridge projects, preparation of contract documents, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of design work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and lead structural design development and assist in providing structural direction to projects
Provide senior level structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project
Assume responsibility of completeness and accuracy of design work
Develop and/or modify standard details
Assess efficiency of contract document preparation and offer suggestions for improvement and implementation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
P.E. (professional engineering) License
Ten (10) - Twenty (20) or more years of bridge design experience
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Leap Bridge Concrete, AASHTOWare BrR, Microstation, various other structural programs
Strong understanding of industry codes and standards related to bridge design and construction (e.g. AASHTO, ACI, ASCE)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with clients and stakeholders
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Valid drivers license and favorable driving record
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
SCDOT structures/bridge experience
SCDOT Seismic Design
