Responsibilities
Identify causes of low yield through detailed analysis
Work closely with various engineering groups in resolving process/defects related issues
Perform physical failure analysis sample preparation and microscopy work to understand the failure mechanism relating to assembly defects and fab process
Apply statistical tools for detailed data analysis on product to drive yield improvement projects
Certify in and follow chemical safety procedures
Follow lab procedures
Use best known methods and develop new methods when vital
Qualification
Required
5+ years to applicable experience, or applicable Engineering B.S
Identify causes of low yield through detailed analysis
Work closely with various engineering groups in resolving process/defects related issues
Perform physical failure analysis sample preparation and microscopy work to understand the failure mechanism relating to assembly defects and fab process
Apply statistical tools for detailed data analysis on product to drive yield improvement projects
Certify in and follow chemical safety procedures
Follow lab procedures
Use best known methods and develop new methods when vital
Maintain certification and training requirements
Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
Develop expert level sample preparation skills
Develop expert level microscopy skills (Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), CSAM, X-RAY)
Work shift is TBD - Shift and Hours flexibility (position requires day to night shift rotations in intervals of 4 months)
Demonstrate teamwork, self-development, drive for results, integrity, and trust
Excellent organizational skills
