Responsibilities
Research and evaluate OSS projects for commercial potential
Identify CTO candidates from these projects
Partner with Founder CTO to drive product and GTM strategy on new investments
Drive execution and build momentum before a permanent CEO
Help identify and recruit CEO candidates once the company has momentum
Help identify and recruit CEO founders once the company has some early momentum
Qualification
Required
0-1 product managers, product-obsessed founders, or product centric investors
Ability to identify promising open source projects
Experience in building investment cases and launching companies
Ability to formulate initial strategy and drive execution
Experience working directly with technical founders
Ability to build traction and find product-market fit
Experience in talking to customers and shaping products
Ability to drive growth
Fluency in software concepts
Relentless curiosity and ability to dig deep to understand core workings
Attention to detail and ability to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Bias toward action and ability to balance big ideas with concrete execution

Experience at a top-tier software company
