Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy end-to-end applications that span backend microservices, data orchestration pipelines, vector databases and modern front-end interfaces
Apply an author of experimentation mindset — build concepts, iterate on feedback, and create reusable libraries, prompts and scaffolds to accelerate future engagements
Design and implement solutions that meet FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST and other agency security requirements, addressing both government procurement and citizen facing use cases
Operationalize large language model (LLM) capabilities, build custom extractions, semantic search, and workflow intelligence within FedRAMP-authorized environments
Iterate on AI/ML solutions, including LLM prompting and tuning to optimize agreement use cases
Embed with customers—on site or virtually—to adapt and iterate solutions in live environments, expeditiously navigating legacy system constraints, ATO processes, and evolving data-classification rules with agility and compliance discipline
Work closely with your team to translate customer requirements into technical designs, manage execution and share field‑tested insights with Docusign’s product teams to shape Intelligent Agreement Management

Required

15+ years of software engineering experience
4+ years in customer‑facing or embedded roles
Experience across backend (Python, Node.js, Java), frontend (React, Angular) and API design, with hands‑on experience building AI‑native systems in production
Experience in LLM models, tooling and generative‑AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, RAG pipelines, vector search, prompt chaining)
Experience with DevOps skills—CI/CD, containerization, IaC—and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Understanding of FedRAMP or similar security frameworks
Willingness to travel up to ~50 % for client engagements

Preferred

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, prioritize user value and drive iterative delivery
Experience working with U.S. federal agencies or system integrators (SI/FSI) on cloud modernization, AI, or digital-workflow transformation initiatives
Familiarity with ATO (Authority to Operate) processes, CSP security assessments, and federal data-classification standards
Experience deploying within GovCloud (AWS or Azure) or similar compliant environments
Active or eligible for Public Trust, Secret, or Top-Secret clearance (depending on agency)
Security+, CISSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or Azure Security Engineer Associate certification
Experience integrating SaaS platforms such as Docusign, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP Ariba, or Adobe into enterprise or agency ecosystems
Familiarity with API management (Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong) and secure data-exchange standards (SAML, OAuth2, SCIM)
Hands-on knowledge of MLOps frameworks, Vertex AI, or Azure ML, including model deployment pipelines and continuous model evaluation
Experience applying DevSecOps best practices in regulated or classified environments
