They are seeking an experienced Highway Project Engineer to lead the development of transportation project plans and manage staff within their growing Transportation Division.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Working with a team of multidisciplinary engineers
Leading the development of transportation project plans for public infrastructure projects
Manage and mentor staff while serving as a task lead
Assemble a complete design package or assigned portions of a larger project
Perform quality control reviews
Attend and lead meetings with public and/or private clients
Represent MJ at industry and professional society events
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
PE Required
5-10 years of progressive roadway engineering analysis and design experience
Project experience with State DOT's required and municipal experience a plus
Multi-modal and Complete Streets design experience a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules
Preferred
Business Development experience preferred
Public presentation experience preferred
Experience with proposal writing, scope of work development, and budgeting
