Responsibilities

Review and assess existing Health & Safety documentation, including policies, procedures, forms, checklists, and records
Update and standardize all H&S documents to align with current regulatory and company requirements
Digitize and upload approved materials into a digital platform, ensuring logical organization and accessibility for both office and field teams
Assist in testing and verifying that the digital platform operates effectively across devices and locations
Support training and implementation of the updated system for employees and supervisors
Complete an audit and index of all H&S documents
Update and standardize key safety policies, procedures, and forms
Transition approved materials over to new digital platform
Produce a summary report outlining progress, outcomes, and recommendations for continued improvement

Required

Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing confidential information
Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently
Familiar with digital documentation systems or eager to learn new software
Comfortable working collaboratively with both field and office teams
Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
Must be 18 years old at time of hire
Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

A student or recent graduate in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
At least a 2.5 GPA
Strong critical thinking and research skills
Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
