Research Assistant/Associate
Auburn University is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Research Assistant/Associate in the Potnis Lab, which focuses on computational biology and plant-microbe interactions. The role involves developing computational pipelines, analyzing high-throughput sequencing data, and collaborating with team members on various research projects.

Responsibilities
Develop computational pipelines and analyze computational data collected for various experiments and interpret to understand biology of plant-pathogen interactions
Collaborate with other lab members on various projects to conduct computational analyses in parallel to hands-on experiments
Present research updates at the team meetings
Writing, compiling the data, preparing publication-ready figures/tables, and assisting in the manuscript preparations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Microbiology, Plant Sciences, Biology, or related natural or social sciences field
Demonstrated ability to conduct high-throughput sequencing data analyses
Ability to interpret the data analyses
Ability to work both independently and with others within a research team
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
A valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
