Assistant Banking Center Manager - Memorial Spring Branch

The Assistant Banking Center Manager is responsible for ensuring branch goals are met through excellent customer service, managing operations in the absence of the Banking Center Manager, and promoting the bank’s products and services.

Responsibilities

Promote and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services by assisting customers in their selection to meet their financial needs
Perform banking center activities such as opening new accounts, safe deposit duties, stop payment requests, check recorders, and wire transfer requests
Monitor cash limits for the tellers, vault, ATM and total office
Monitor reports to assure that MIL and CTR reporting is completed timely and accurately, assures transmission of reports to the Compliance Department
Ensure ATM is balanced, and the proper cash supply is within limits
Review and monitor deposit account exceptions and ensure exceptions are cleared in a timely manner
Participate in branch audits on established schedule
Review NSF and overdraft reports for assigned customer portfolios; approves or declines such exceptions within approved limits
Maintain strong knowledge of the financial industry and support staff development and growth
Process moderately complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries and assume responsibility in absence of Banking Center Manager
Consistently maintains exceptions at less than 30 days
Compliance with any and all BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions requirements set forth by Bank Policy and Procedure, including but not limited to timely completion of assigned training
Approve teller sheets to assure balancing, reporting and cash limits are within approved limits
Perform alarm testing and 911 testing in accordance with established guidelines
Provide leadership, training, and/or support to staff, leads team meetings
Approve timecards by payroll deadlines

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years or more of experience in financial institution customer service
Basic knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies
Basic math, computer, and Microsoft Office skills
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Effective time management skills
The ability to understand and follow procedures, write correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and other Bank employees
Ability to deal with difficult problems and work with minimal supervision while performing duties
