Responsibilities

The Engineering Program Manager owns planning and driving the execution of silicon engineering functions to enable best in class customer products
Engages with technical teams to understand and document program scope, establish integrated schedules, assess and manage program progress, risks, mitigation, and manage resource & budget plans
Develops and shares best-in-class agile processes to streamline and grow the organization to meet new challenges
Manages, mentors and coaches geographically distributed technical teams in a matrix organization environment. Works collaboratively with others and coordinates multiple activities
Plan for risks in the development path, identify prevention methods, and address them to save on engineering costs
Represents the engineering organization in corporate planning and execution forums, including presentations to Senior VP’s and executive staff

Required

Solid knowledge of technical program management
Track record of delivering sophisticated silicon development programs, from concept through customer ship
Utilizing large, matrixed teams to plan and execute semiconductor products
Understanding of the technical challenges related to computing systems, including the interaction of silicon, system, firmware and software elements
Experience working in a fast-paced technical organization and multi-site environment
Ability to plan and drive the execution of silicon engineering functions
Engagement with technical teams to understand and document program scope
Establish integrated schedules, assess and manage program progress, risks, mitigation, and manage resource & budget plans
Management, mentoring and coaching of geographically distributed technical teams in a matrix organization environment
Planning for risks in the development path, identifying prevention methods, and addressing them to save on engineering costs
Representation of the engineering organization in corporate planning and execution forums
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
PMI or PMP® Certification

Preferred

Program management experience
Ability to create and maintain a working cross functional team
Skilled in managing in a matrixed environment
Exceptional communications and people management skills
Experience driving product development with silicon projects
Familiarity with the semiconductor industry
Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts
Problem solving capability to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to executive leadership
Ability to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations
Skilled in interfacing with customers, partners and in managing joint-development projects
Ability to understand and extract action plans from complex technical discussions
Ability to nimbly address business and technical changes throughout the program lifecycle
Familiarity with budgeting, resource allocation, and long-range planning
Seasoned in leveraging MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams or Confluence
Familiarity with JAMA, JIRA and similar engineering requirements management and defect tracking tools
Experience with Agile software and project development methodologies
>5 Years Program Management Experience
>8 years overall relevant experience in Semiconductor Industry - specifically New Product Development
