Responsibilities
Provide architectural guidance and leadership on all cloud and physical infrastructure-based technology systems
Develop and curate the overall Enterprise Cloud Strategy and ensure ongoing adherence to
Ownership of the Cloud Architecture, Network Architecture, and IAM Architecture Roadmaps
Drive repeatable architectural design patterns that focus on security, operational excellence, and optimization of performance & cost efficiency
Foster and expand the adoption of IaC across the various architecture and engineering teams
Foster self-service technology enablement through smart automation and transparent security and governance guardrails
Supplement and partner with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team in maturing the EA program and ensuring technology alignment with the organizational goals
Maintain current knowledge of technology trends & developments and act as an advisor to the Bank in reference to its technology strategies
Coordinate with IT and cross-department product teams to ensure awareness regarding the Banks's technology usage and ongoing/future initiatives
Contribute to the development of cloud standards, best practices and organizational cloud capability
Research and drive adoption of cloud-native technologies
Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.)
Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training
Identifies and reports suspicious activity
Supervises function, projects or services and/or one or more employees, as applicable
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance coaching; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Qualification
Required
College degree or equivalent management/work experience (At least 10 years), which includes practical experience in Information Technology and IT Security
Minimum 4 years' experience with cloud-based enterprise infrastructure architecture and/or operations required
7+ years experience -- Vendor management and contract negotiation
7+ years experience -- Experience in designing applications (eg web, client/server, COM+, etc)
3+ years experience -- Experience with access federation and identity management
Experience with cloud services and tools integration
7+ years experience -- Broad project and system development lifecycle (SDLC) experience -- with an emphasis in enterprise environments
7+ years experience -- Experienced producing multi-tiered, load-balanced, redundant infrastructure architectures
Ability to build relationships between the customers (product teams and otherwise) and the team members
Strong understanding of cloud technology
Strong understanding of network design and architecture
Strong working knowledge of Enterprise networking (both datacenter and cloud/multi-cloud)
Knowledge of information security/governance controls
Knowledge of IaC (Infrastructure as Code) design patterns and platforms
Understanding of common data technologies (e.g. backup/restoration, replication/mirroring)
Ability to work independently
Self-motivated
Ability to set own goals and manage towards them
Good client presentation skills
Ability to effectively manage & mentor team members/direct reports
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Preferred
