Service Technician

Responsibilities

Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan and tasks that may be assigned
Support in the technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers responsibility
Interact with customers during the work execution
Interacting with FS back office during work execution
Report to local team leader and assist in generating Service Work Reports as needed
Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila quality, health and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures
Comply with the management system according to what has been implemented locally for her/his position
Proactively consult, advise, and promote available Wartsila solutions and products to customer
Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values and company policies applicable as employee and to the position

Required

2 years of experience working field service activities on Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines (RICE)
2 years of experience working field service activities on Diesel or heavy fuel engines
2 years of experience working field service activities on Gas and or dual fuel engines
2 years of experience working field service activities on Fuel oil or gas injection systems
2 years of experience working field service activities on Engines auxiliary systems (separators, radiator, fuel and air systems)
Good leadership and collaboration skills
Good electrical knowledge
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
Good computer skills
Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of the position including vision, hearing, clear speech, dexterity, lifting, carrying, driving, bending, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions
70% travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations
Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
