Responsibilities
Design, configure, and develop solutions across Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimsCenter)
Develop GOSU classes, rules, PCFs, data model extensions, batch processes, and integrations
Lead end-to-end solution implementation from requirements refinement to deployment
Collaborate with architects to ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices and design patterns
Build and maintain integrations using SOAP/REST, messaging, event-based architectures, and middleware technologies
Support data migration, ETL processes, and API-driven workflows
Provide technical guidance on architecture decisions, performance tuning, and environment optimization
Serve as a senior technical lead on agile teams, providing direction and oversight
Mentor junior and mid-level developers on Guidewire development standards and techniques
Partner closely with business analysts, QA engineers, and product owners to refine user stories and acceptance criteria
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
Troubleshoot complex defects, performance issues, and integration failures
Ensure design documentation, technical specifications, and handover materials are complete and accurate
Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices
Qualification
Required
Guidewire Associate Certification (e.g., PolicyCenter Associate, BillingCenter Associate, ClaimsCenter Associate, or Cloud Associate)
5–8+ years of Guidewire development experience in enterprise environments
Strong proficiency in GOSU, Guidewire configuration, and Guidewire integration development
Solid understanding of P&C insurance processes, data models, and workflows
Experience with API development (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML, messaging, and microservices
Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, and automated deployment practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Multiple Guidewire certifications (Professional or Specialist)
Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GCP) implementations and cloud-native deployment models
Background in performance tuning of Guidewire applications
Experience with Kafka, MuleSoft, or other enterprise integration platforms
Prior experience leading development teams or acting as a technical lead
Knowledge of InsuranceSuite 10+/Jutro UI frameworks
