Responsibilities

Providing planning and design support for an existing and expanding client base in relation to climate adaptation, coastal protection, stormwater management, environmental and social impact analysis, and other resiliency needs
Engaging in project management activities, which includes overseeing a multi-disciplinary planning and engineering team to ensure the successful management of project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives
Collaborating with national leaders to ensure that the necessary quality standards are in place to deliver on projects within the local market
Preparing and/or reviewing design calculations and technical drawings to maintain the high standards expected within the industry
Supporting the expansion of the resiliency practice and promoting the Arcadis brand, contributing to the growth and development of the company's presence in the market
Engaging with strategic stakeholders in the local market to establish strong relationships and foster growth opportunities
Acting as an ambassador for both the local and national team, representing Arcadis at conferences and other industry-related events
Driving projects forward while exemplifying Arcadis's values and commitments

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Planning, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or a related field
PE license, Certified Planner, or equivalent
6 years of experience in water resources, civil, structural, and/or coastal engineering, with a focus on resiliency
Strong knowledge and experience with preparation and/or review of engineering plans to ensure that all aspects of project implementation are clearly conveyed
Prior experience serving as a project manager for complex engineering or multi-disciplinary resiliency projects
Experience with numerical modeling of flows in coastal, estuarine, or riverine environments
Solid experience working for municipal, industrial, state and/or federal client base in coastal resilience or a related area
Experience working on a variety of projects simultaneously and coordinating work with engineers of other disciplines

Preferred

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or a related field
10 years of progressive resilience related experience
