Pet Valu Canada Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Architect in Business Intelligence who will work across the entire BI lifecycle. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions that empower the business with timely, actionable information while mentoring best practices for the development team and business partners.

Responsibilities

Promote BI architect concepts and solutions to IT, and business team members

Collaborate, support other IT departments and business partners on BI/reporting initiatives/requests

Research/Review new BI technologies and solutions

Propose new BI technology to ensure BI platforms continue support business needs

Providing inputs to BI strategy, and the short term/long term BI roadmap

Design Pet Valu Business Intelligent data and data analytic platforms to enable self-service BI capability to different business units

Design and implement automated processes, tool sets to enable efficient self-service

Define/maintain enterprise-wide standards, best practices, policies on BI development, security, operation, availability

Provide Business Intelligence solutions including analytics, dashboards and reports to support Pet Valu in making informed decisions that increase the bottom line through improved quality and services

Apply software engineering concepts and best practices to design solutions that meets operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, extensibility, and flexibility

Rotated 24/7 Application on call support
