Director of Commercial Technologies

Responsibilities
Leverage your extensive knowledge of water treatment technologies to continue Newterra’s growth into the Industrial, Municipal, Decentralized, Remediation, and Food & Beverage markets
Own and fine-tune the commercial proposal process. This includes creating and maintaining the commercial proposal templates, ensuring accuracy, and optimizing efficiency
Manage, develop, and enable the Domain Managers to become market-facing technical experts. Empower the team to liaise effectively between sales, marketing, and engineering
Oversee contract management activities to position Newterra for limited risk exposure and long-lasting customer relationships
Develop and enable Domain Managers to become technical and commercial experts in Newterra technologies, including Membrane Bioreactor, Reverse Osmosis, Aeration, Granular Activated Carbon, UF/MF, and Ozonation
Travel to customer sites with sales teams, attend industry conferences, and contribute to the creation of case studies, white papers, product and market development. This will involve presenting Newterra's technical capabilities and thought leadership
Participate in M&A due diligence activities to ensure that any potential acquisitions align with Newterra's strategic objectives
Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety to others in accordance with Newterra’s safety policies and procedures. This includes reporting all safety concerns, near-misses, and incidents
Adhere to the company processes as detailed in Newterra’s online systems and programs and bring forward ideas for continuous improvement
Responsible for completing all assigned training applicable to the position in the appropriate timeframe
Complete all responsibilities while ensuring adherence to Newterra’s Delegation of Authority
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., mechanical, chemical, or related field)
Substantial commercial experience in the water and wastewater industry
In-depth knowledge of Newterra technologies, including Membrane Bioreactor, Reverse Osmosis, Aeration, Granular Activated Carbon Filtration, IX, UF/MF, and Ozonation
Proven leadership experience and a track record of enabling teams to excel
Critical strategic thinking capabilities to drive innovation and market growth
Ability to travel as needed
Effective communicator and cross functional collaborator
Sound leadership judgment, capable of establishing credibility with management team and direct reports
Strong active listening skills and the ability to comprehend and respond in an effective manner
Capable of resolving conflict in a positive and effective manner
Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Responsive, with consistency, quality, and speed in all correspondence
