Fire Alarm Technician

Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
Code Compliance: Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
Plan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
Must be able and willing to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
3+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
NFPA 10 certified
