As a Senior TPM for an Optical Communication System, you will work closely with engineering teams to manage the design, testing, and verification processes, ensuring that the delivery roadmap aligns with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Partner with hardware/software/network engineers and managers for design, test and verification of Amazon Leo Optical Network
Partner with engineering teams on delivery and best practices to ensure sprints are aligned with deliverables
Participate in strategic planning, brainstorm improvements, and work to uphold the quality bar across the organization
Build delivery roadmap, identify external and internal dependencies, communicate status and blockers to senior leadership at a regular cadence
Meet with stakeholders regularly to ensure solutions are meeting the needs of the business
Ensure no stone goes unturned and no deliverable is left untracked

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
5+ years of technical program management experience
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Strong understanding of software development, and its relationships with other engineering disciplines (such as firmware, electrical engineering, controls)
Understanding of software/coding (e.g., C, C++, Python) and configuration management systems (e.g., Git)
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
