New GradAmeriCorps is a non-profit organization, and they are seeking a VISTA volunteer for Tube City Renaissance. This role focuses on mobilizing community residents and expanding financial support for housing and community development projects, while enhancing stakeholder engagement and building sustainable community involvement.

Responsibilities
Work to improve overall communication with community residents
Significantly enhance outreach efforts; getting citizens motivated and involved
Research government, private and public agencies for resources to expand TCR’s housing construction/renovation development
Strengthen & build upon partnerships with entities that can support TCR’s goals, including its Greening & Urban Farming Initiatives
Qualification
Required
Committed to helping transform distressed neighborhood challenges into positive opportunities & has the energy/commitment to follow through on tasks
Professional skills needed include excellent research, organizational, & communication skills (oral & written)
Understanding of government programs & community economic factors
Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & social media
Experience in organizational management & program development is a plus
Will work closely with the CEO/Board to improve overall communication with community residents
Significantly enhance outreach efforts; getting citizens motivated and involved

Preferred
Google mapping skills is a plus
