Responsibilities
Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1 year veterinary experience
Personable yet highly professional demeanor
Ability to perform customer service functions, including greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
Experience in scheduling and confirming appointments
Ability to place outbound calls for follow-ups and reach out to prospective clients
Experience in presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
Ability to recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions
Knowledge to answer questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
Ability to manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
Willingness to perform hospital maintenance, including removal of animal waste and ensuring that the facility is neat and clean at all times
Availability to work shifts that vary from 2p-1030p, 3p-1130p, or 4p-1230a and work every weekend
