HellermannTyton North America is seeking a Quality Assurance Lab Technician to perform testing and inspection in both product and lab environments. The role involves ensuring product quality, maintaining certifications, and supporting other departments through various inspection and testing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Understand Customer Expectations as they relate to Product Quality

Thrive in and help support a Team Atmosphere

Help support the HellermannTyton Team by mentoring Operators regarding Quality of Product

Perform 1st Piece Inspection of manufactured product

Perform in-process inspection of manufactured product

Perform Product specific tests including but not limited to tensile

Perform moisture analysis on manufactured product as well as incoming

Verify Material Certification and Approve raw material

Enter and edit SPC data in the SPC computer file

File all QA records and samples (obsolete and current)

Use incoming color chip samples to verify colorant in receiving

Handle non-conforming material isolation and documentation

Perform a dimensional layout referencing the HellermannTyton drawing

Use SPC software

Record all inspection and test data

Weigh parts

Use control plans

PPAP and PPC testing

Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and Environmental certification by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation

Become a "Go To" person for production personnel regarding Quality of Product

Determine "Clean Point" when a non conformance is found

Support LEAN Work Environment

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Good math and communication skills

Computer skills - Windows, Excel

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs

All employees entering the Manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their position

Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to meet the needs of the department and customer
