SUPERVISORY AIR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory Air Operations Specialist to oversee the activities of the Global Air Mobility Support System and Aeromedical Evacuation Directorate at the 618th Air Operations Center. Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 107-person Global Air Mobility Support System and Aeromedical Evacuation Directorate
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Represents Global Air Mobility Support System and Aeromedical Evacuation Directorate with a variety of installation and functional area organizations
Serves as directorate leadership advising senior AOC/AMC staff on complex global mobility support operations issues
Serves as one of the command's recognized advisor and authority for air transportation/global mobility support operations procedural matters affecting command automated computer systems that affect CJCS exercises, contingency, humanitarian, and POTUS, TOP 5, aeromedical evacuation, global mobility aircraft recovery support, and ITV for cargo and passengers mission sets
Liaison for the Directorate with civilian contractor technical staff responsible for the maintenance of the overall automated planning programs

If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement

Disclosure of Political Appointments
This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment and participation in random drug testing
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
This position is designated as a key posn. Duties are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency ops. Incumbent must be removed from mil recall status if alternative for filling of the posn during an emergency are not available
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive
Employee may be required to work overtime
This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector)
Example of specialized experience includes experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal
This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations; knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to direct combat, contingency, humanitarian, POTUS/TOP 5, aeromedical evacuation, global mobility aircraft recovery support, and ITV for cargo and passengers mission sets
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Knowledge/in-depth technical knowledge of deployment processes, Joint Operational Planning and Execution System (JOPES), Deliberate Crisis Action and Planning Segments (DCAPES), Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Global Decision Support System (GDSS), and Single Mobility System (SMS)
Knowledge of the relationship of the various Air Force entities involved in overall planning and execution of military operations
Skilled in planning, organizing, and directing the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
