The Town of Blacksburg Shelter Landlord Engagement VISTA will focus on expanding housing options for individuals facing barriers to stable housing by engaging with landlords and property managers, enhancing communication, and improving regional housing databases.

Build capacity for New River Community Action by expanding the availability housing options for those facing the greatest barriers to stable and permanent housing
Providing education and outreach to landlords and property managers
Assessing regional housing databases for needed improvements
Developing educational materials and methods to improve communication between housing professionals and property managers
Researching landlord engagement models
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capacity to serve both independently and collaboratively
Ability to travel to downtown Blacksburg daily for in-person work hours
