Responsibilities
Utilize ERP system to analyze historical data to improve estimating accuracy
Obtain competitive quotes for materials and equipment
Evaluate quotes, bids, change orders, value engineering reports, and claims for accuracy and completeness of stated costs
Able to read and understand blueprint drawings and basic specifications
Basic understanding of BOMs
Evaluate and ascertain fair and reasonableness of proposed costs
Maintain accuracy of RFQ cost and data entries in system
Support the estimating team by sourcing and processing quotes
Assist the pricing team in analyzing estimates and preparing pricing when required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline preferred
3+ years of related (government, supply chain, estimating) experience
Knowledge of supplier base in the aerospace industry a plus
Familiarity with engineering documentation, such as drawings, specifications, bills of material
Knowledge of pricing data points (competition, cost, demand, etc.)
Proven track record of an ability to analyze data derive insights
Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred
Able to read and understand blueprint drawings and basic specifications
