Responsibilities
Lead developer / technical lead having strong hands-on experience in developing Java, Spring, Spring Boot, WebAPI tool stack in Agile development environment
Must have good experience in leading a offshore development team based out of India
Must have prior experience in a customer facing role
Must have brought Customer delight and generated business value adds
Incorporate industry best practices in the code -Implementation of industry-best software application development patterns & practices in every component of the software
Implement and follow strong code review process at peer level, architect level and customer level
Help identify and mitigate project risks that impact delivery
Work with the customer on release planning and estimations
Correct implementation of TDD and BDD as per industry best practices. Conduct frequent checkpoint reviews (team internal, cross team, customer) to make sure team is implement correct TDD, BDD
Reuse % at 10% per month for all months
Ready to help in interviews whenever there is a need
Help in building a team with good technical skills
Improvement in work efficiency and productivity within team
Help maintain a good technical team - spread good operational practices among teams
Ensure that every team member is engaged well technically - ensure that new team member's time is utilized wisely
Actively participate in idea generation process/ contribute to the implementation of at least 1 worthy idea in the area of Optimization/Lean processes/Team productivity
Focus on lean development, reduce waste, heavy automation
Look for opportunities to constantly mentor the team to align to the coding best practices (Mentor and groom team members in factors like approaching problems, analyze and providing solutions, communicating clearly to internal and external stakeholders)
Look for opportunities to upgrade skills within the requirements of the current project
Conduct regular workshops on industry trends like IoT, AI, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing and others
Participate in Organization initiatives etc
Qualification
Required
6 - 10 Years of experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, WebAPI tool stack in Agile development environment
Experience in leading an offshore development team based out of India
Prior experience in a customer facing role
Experience in implementing industry-best software application development patterns & practices
Experience in following strong code review processes
Ability to identify and mitigate project risks that impact delivery
Experience in release planning and estimations with customers
Correct implementation of TDD and BDD as per industry best practices
8+ years of hands-on experience in developing rich UI web applications
Experience in Unit testing
Experience in Automation Testing and writing test cases
Experience with JIRA, Bamboo, Bitbucket
Good understanding of TDD and unit testing
Experience in Testing and minimum of 1+ year in SDET
Good knowledge and experience in Agile Development
Good design thinking and technical problem solving skills
Thorough understanding of agile development methodology
Strong in applying design patterns and practices
Automated Testing skills
Very good experience in Test Driven Development
Very good understanding of BDD
Team player with at least 2 years of experience leading a team of 4 - 10 resources at Offshore
Ability to work directly with customer stakeholders
Ability to communicate clearly in oral and writing
Ability to identify risks and plan mitigation
Ability to escalate on time to customers and leaders
Good in prioritizing work and time management
Ability to delegate work and ensure quality
Good problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience in Micro UI and Micro Services
Experience in cloud computing like AWS, Azure, Pivotal
Experience in conducting regular workshops on industry trends like IoT, AI, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing
