Sensors Electrical Engineer - Health Technologies
Apple is a leading technology company known for its innovative products and services. The Health Technologies team is seeking a Sensors Electrical Engineer to be involved in the development of new health products and features, focusing on sensor architectures, prototype circuits, and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities
Defining sensor architectures and specifications to meet feature requirements
Design and build prototype circuits
Design and build test and characterization setups
Help enable user studies and data collection
Analyze lab, study, and factory data
Qualification
Required
An understanding of analog frontend circuits including ability to analyze signals and noise for circuits such as amplifiers, filters, and analog to digital converters
Ability to work on embedded systems. This includes working with designs using microcontrollers, and common communication protocols such as 12C and SPI. It also includes experience developing firmware (Cor C++) to enable sensor data collection or streaming
An understanding of statistics and an ability to analyze engineering data. This includes topics of statistical distributions, repeatability, reproducibility, confidence intervals, etc
Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout techniques, including noise optimization, component selection, thermal control, etc
Ability to bring up, test and characterize sensor systems. This includes debugging firmware, circuit boards (analog and digital signals), and writing scripts. Scripts enable interfacing with prototype hardware and the automation of lab setups (e.g. Python or Matlab)
5 years of experience in electrical engineering. This can include time spent on graduate degrees
Preferred
An understanding of sensor physics from the perspective of a main sensing mechanism and as a source of error. This includes common effects such as thermal, strain, optical, etc
An understanding of power integrity and power-distribution networks to enable very low noise design of sensor systems
Should thrive in fast-paced environment, be highly organized, and be able to multitask. Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work as a key member of a team
Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented
Able and willing to travel in the future to product manufacturing facilities both domestic and international to provide technical support as needed
Previous experience working on health related projects is a plus
