Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting activities for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of tasks such as bank and credit card transactions, AP/AR processing, journal entries posting, and month-end closing reconciliations
Identify and resolve client-specific accounting issues, anomalies, and non-routine transactions
Prepare financial reports, analyses, and reconciliations, and assist with audit preparation, including compiling necessary documentation and coordinating with auditors and clients
Maintain compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures, while staying current on accounting standards, industry best practices, and software solutions
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, engagement teams, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration and clear reporting
Proactively anticipate and resolve complex accounting and engagement-related challenges
Provide accounting training to clients and internal staff as needed
Prepare and file 1099s, perform sales tax filings, and assist the tax department with tax return preparation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Must be CPA eligible and working towards obtaining certificate
1+ years of experience in public accounting, audit, or financial reporting
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, D365 and SAP is a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn
Preferred
Experience with month-end closing financial statement preparation
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and NetSuite
Ability to conduct technical accounting research and draft memos
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders
Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
