Founding Recruiter
Cogent Security is building an AI task force for cybersecurity, leading the transformation towards autonomous defense solutions. They are seeking a Founding Recruiter to own the end-to-end recruiting function, focusing on sourcing and closing exceptional talent while shaping the hiring culture.

Responsibilities
Partner with company leaders and Co-Founders to build our recruiting function
Think creatively about how to source, engage, and convert top talent
Create steady, high-quality pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, and proactive talent mapping
Develop, track, and improve metrics (e.g., time‐to‐hire, source effectiveness, candidate quality, funnel conversion)
Build scalable recruiting systems and processes
Qualification
Required
4+ years of recruiting experience, ideally with deep technical recruiting exposure
You've recruited in fast-paced, competitive environments (later-stage startups or high-bar tech companies)
You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and a fast paced environment
You're a strong communicator who is good at understanding what candidates are looking for and adjusting your strategy on the go
Preferred
You bring deep knowledge of the AI talent landscape and a network of top-tier candidates
You're excited about AI and cybersecurity, and want to help build a category-defining team
You're not only interested in hiring for an AI-native team, you are interested in leaning into creating an AI-native hiring process
You have interest in, or existing experience around People Ops/HR
You have experience with Ashby ATS
