Principal/Sr. Principal RF Microwave Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Perform integration design and analysis of electromagnetic devices (COTS and Custom COTS), primarily but not limited Ground System RF front end (Custom antenna feeds, Active and Passive antenna RF components, Supporting Electrical Equipment, RF and Fiber Cabling, Electrical Wiring, Digitization, and DSP
Develop technical solutions (Part Trades and Identification, RF Diagrams, Electrical Diagrams, Analog and Digital Analyses), to a wide range of complex challenging requirements
Collaborate with and support multidisciplinary engineering teammates (SysE, ME, EE, SW, HW, MA)
Participate in and support technical design reviews and provide guidance to the program office
Author and review technical documentation, including but not limited to the artifacts mentioned above
Support engineering and manufacturing product build and process planning
Author and review test procedures and test reports
Support compliance qualification and recurring test events
Support Factory and Field demonstration and testing
Perform roadmap-focused research, design, prototyping, and test of advanced electromagnetic apertures, structures, and techniques
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or Physics with 5 years of relevant experience, OR Masters' degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 3 years of relevant experience, OR PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 1 years of relevant experience for Level 3/Principal
Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or Physics with 8 years of relevant experience, OR Masters' degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 6 years of relevant experience, OR PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 4 years of relevant experience for Level 4/Sr. Principal
Active TS/SCI Clearance at the time of application
Aerospace industry experience, particularly hands-on with Low Observable structures
Experience conveying technical information (both written and verbal)
Ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable timeframe as required by the business
Preferred
Electrical Engineering degree with a concentration in Electromagnetics
Experience in the design and integration of Antennas and Periodic Structures / Frequency Selected Surfaces (FSS)
Experience with EM software analysis tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS, CST, FEKO)
Basic programming experience (e.g., Matlab)
Understanding of S-parameters, Antenna Pattern measurements, and RCS measurements
Experience working with RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, SCI-2K, Transmission Tunnel, Std Waveguides, Reflection Arch, and Resonant Cavities
