They are seeking an Engineer 1 (HVAC) who will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring the property is well-maintained and operational.

Responsibilities

Perform general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related duties as required

Collaborate professionally and effectively with co-workers and supervisors

Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests for rooms and public areas

Address emergency situations, including fires, power failures, and other urgent issues

Maintain cleanliness of engineering stations, grease traps, plumbing systems, and ensure an organized hotel environment

Oversee and implement preventative maintenance for all equipment, keeping accurate maintenance logs

Diagnose and repair equipment such as motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and related systems throughout the building

Execute carpentry tasks, including furniture repair, leveling, refinishing, and building shelves, desks, and platforms

Repair timber-based items like luggage racks, furniture, picture frames, desks, chairs, and mirrors

Install, maintain, and repair locks, ironmongery, fixtures, and fittings throughout the hotel

Assist with the installation or relocation of equipment as needed

Contribute to the hotel’s energy conservation efforts

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States

This position is ideal for a team oriented, versatile, well-groomed hospitality professional

You will be an experienced professional with recognized engineering qualifications, certification or degree preferred in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC or pool operation

Previous experience in a hotel environment is desirable for this position

Weekend and Holiday availability will be required

Able to read as-builts and blueprints

Basic computer skills- BMS / Rapid response system (HotSOS)

Able to climb a ladder/scaffolding

Have a valid Driver's license

Be able to lift items weighing 50 to 70 lbs
