Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of data center construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the construction team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, throughout the project lifecycle
Allocate and manage resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project productivity
Collaborate with the design team to review and optimize data center designs, considering factors such as scalability, energy efficiency, and future-proofing
Work closely with external vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring their performance meets Oracle's standards and project requirements
Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Regularly assess and update risk management plans
Ensure that all construction activities comply with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards
Generate accurate and timely project reports, including status updates, financial forecasts, and risk assessments, for internal stakeholders
Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with internal teams like Network Engineering, Facilities, and Operations to align construction activities with overall data center objectives
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, identifying opportunities to enhance construction processes and technologies

Required

A minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical program/project management role within the data center construction or related industry
Advanced technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and network systems
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in a data center environment
Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation, prior working experience with (or) for Low-voltage vendors
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines
Strong leadership and communication skills to lead and influence cross-functional teams
Proficiency in project management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Understanding of construction safety regulations and quality control practices
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP, Primavera) are highly valued

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
