Responsibilities
Leads category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations
Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements
Lead team of professional level employees responsible for performing category management tasks
Provides mentorship and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and provides leadership examples for the organization
Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects
Mentors on procurement technical skills among global procurement team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
15+ years of progressive experience in procurement, preferably including significant experience in Pharma/BioPharma
Experience optimally leading global categories teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories
Ability to build influential relationships with collaborators and suppliers to get results for Regeneron
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams to get results in Facilities, Capital, and Logistics categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management
Expert insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable efficient negotiations
Use of external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron's knowledge of supply market dynamics
Experience operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to motivate change and improvement
Proven success leading and advising the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools
Acts as the primary relationship manager to the supplier's global leadership team
Experience leading professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, mentoring, and developing direct reports
Preferred
Solid understanding with sourcing contracting tools, ERP's, and eRFx systems (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
