Vice President of Safety
Watson Electrical Construction Co. LLC is seeking a Vice President of Safety to oversee the development and management of the company's safety programs. This executive role is crucial for ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute safety and risk management strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives
Provide leadership and direction to the safety team, promoting a culture of zero harm
Integrate safety objectives into broader organizational goals and ensure high-level guidance on safety initiatives
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize safety risks to the organization
Develop and implement plans and policies to address identified operational risks effectively
Oversee risk management practices, including hazard identification measures
Design, lead, and continuously improve safety programs and policies
Ensure safety protocols are integrated into daily operations and regulatory requirements are met
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of safety and loss prevention programs, making strategic adjustments as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and other regulatory requirements
Lead efforts to maintain and exceed regulatory standards, managing compliance audits and inspections
Oversee the response to safety incidents, accidents, and emergencies, including managing investigations and implementing corrective actions
Analyze incident data to identify trends and make strategic recommendations to improve safety practices and reduce incidents
Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels
Promote ongoing education and awareness about safety practices
Analyze safety performance data and prepare executive reports on safety trends, compliance, and program effectiveness
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and compliance activities
Present findings and recommendations to senior management
Work closely with other departments and locations to integrate safety into business processes
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to promote a safety-focused culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health & Safety or a related field
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction safety management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards
Proven track record of successful safety program implementation at a senior level
Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing/pharmaceutical a plus
