Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely
Support Accounts Payable by processing vendor invoices, preparing payments, reconciling statements, and addressing vendor inquiries
Assist with Accounts Receivable functions, including applying payments, preparing invoices, and researching discrepancies
Prepare financial reports, summaries, and supporting schedules for management
Monitor expense categories, support budget tracking, and assist with variance analysis
Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation for all accounting activities
Collaborate with sales, operations, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure smooth financial workflows and resolve billing or payment-related issues
Assist with annual audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
Participate in improving internal controls, financial processes, and system efficiencies
Perform additional accounting or administrative duties and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices
Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft 365 (especially Excel), and internet-based tools
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling financial information
Ability to commute to or relocate to Piscataway, NJ prior to starting the role
Preferred
Experience in the wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing industry preferred
Bilingual in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
