Responsibilities

Identify and record problems relating to the product lines, initiate actions to prevent the recurrence of any nonconformities relating to products and processes
Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new product designs and new supplier materials via a new product development process
Monitor and support site quality objectives by maintaining metrics, and report these on a monthly basis
Lead performance improvement projects to increase facility capability to consistently meet Internal and customer requirements
Participate in documentation review, approval, revision, or creation as necessary to ensure processes are properly documented
Participate in the creation of First Article Inspection (FAI) of new product designs to ensure all requirements are met
Investigate and resolve customer complaints, striving to achieve customer satisfaction and prevent recurring issues

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment with a Quality Emphasis
Experience working in a manufacturing factory certified to AS9100, or ISO 9001
Experience with various quality system improvement tools, including 8D, Lean Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, Kaizen, CPK, Fishbone, etc
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Work well in a high-volume production environment with minimal supervision
Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP/MRP systems
Must be able to read and understand blueprints / CAD Drawings and utilize equipment such as calipers, calculators, computers, and comply with safety protocols in chemical and electronics laboratories

Preferred

Electrical Engineering is preferred
ASQ and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred
Project management experience is preferred
