Litigation Paralegal
Kaplan Law Firm is a nationally recognized employment and civil rights firm that represents employees and individuals. They are seeking a full-time litigation paralegal with 3-5 years of litigation experience to manage discovery, motion practice, and trial work, while providing outstanding client service in a remote environment.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for client contact and outstanding client service
Manage a growing litigation docket
Draft and edit attorney work product
Investigate facts and prepare documents to assist attorneys
Organize and index case files
Calendar and manage deadlines and scheduling
Participate in intakes
Interview witnesses
Enter billing and expense data
Qualification
Required
At least 3 years of litigation paralegal experience
Familiarity with filing court documents, calendaring, discovery, bates labeling, gathering and organizing client documents
Outstanding attention to detail and written work product
Ability to work independently
Proficient with using law firm software: Microsoft products, Clio, Slack, and OneNote
Preferred
At least 3 years of paralegal experience on the plaintiff's side, employment law or similar
Experience handling a high volume of individual clients with employment law matters or similar
