The AP Specialist is responsible for ensuring invoices are paid accurately and timely, while also investigating and resolving issues related to invoice processing and vendor account statements.

Responsibilities
Prepares invoices/credits from vendors for payment by:
Verifying accuracy through written approvals
Researching variances
Analyzing exception issues to determine correct resolution
Communicating effectively with internal and external resources for information
Manual processing
Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders related to product costing
Researches and resolves distribution center shipment receipts against invoice costing
Reconciles vendor account statements and maintains open transaction tracking for audit
Assists Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor to identify and implement process improvements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); At least two years of related experience or training in a high-volume accounts payable role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong computer skills; including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to consistently follow company standard operating procedures
Ability to do repetitive work and work under tight deadline pressures
Ability to maintain organized work processes, materials, and files
Preferred
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
