Responsibilities

Assisting with a variety of electrical and plumbing tasks such as:

Installing LED lighting systems

Running electrical wiring beneath Quarters 75 and 76

Installing electrical and water lines for the new fire washer and dryer room

Installing electric hot water tanks at Quarters 75, 76, and 77

Providing support for general plumbing and electrical maintenance and repairs as needed

The following are the competencies identified for this position: Insall, modify, and repair new and existing utilities; Modify and repair water supply systems such as sinks, tubs, and showers; Select and use proper kind and size of pipe for each job; Maintain, modify, and install residential, light commercial, and low voltage wire; Make electrical repairs by removing, replacing, tightening, splicing, soldering, and insulating defective wire; Hook up items such as outlets, switches, light fixtures, and circuit breakers; Pull wire, run and bend conduit; Able to use hand and power tools; Able to use pipe threader and bender; Familiar with and comply with safety standards/policies/SOPs; Adhere to safe work practices and behaviors; Keep work area clean
