Senior Document Control Specialist - Engineering & Construction

Armand Corporation is an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm with over 34 years in the industry, seeking a Senior Document Control Specialist for federal construction projects related to transportation in NY & NJ. The role involves managing and organizing construction documents, overseeing document control processes, and ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Construction

Responsibilities

Manage and file all incoming and existing construction documents, ensuring they are properly organized, version-controlled, and secure
Serve as the task leader for document control, overseeing the receipt, tracking, and distribution of all project documentation
Utilize Trimble (e-Builder) to manage all incoming design documents, including confidential and privileged construction drawings
Log and file all construction documents and transfer finalized records to Document Control according to established procedures
Schedule and coordinate document reviews among the appropriate technical disciplines
Maintain a comprehensive database of all incoming and outgoing project documents and review activities
Prepare regular reports summarizing Technical Assistance Requests (TAA) received, review status, and pending actions
Upload review comments, memoranda, and other supporting materials to project management systems as required
Perform other related duties and tasks as needed

Required

a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in records management, document control, and/or scheduling within an architectural, engineering, or construction-related environment
Proven experience managing, filing, and securing engineering and confidential documentation
Demonstrated experience serving as a task leader for document control, including coordinating workflows, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring timely completion of document management activities
Ability to efficiently schedule and track the review of construction documents across multiple technical disciplines
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability and willingness to learn and use various in-house and external platforms such as SharePoint and Trimble (e-Builder)
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and high professional standards
Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at High Level
Valid drivers license may be required depending on site location
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
