Market Healthcare Sales Manager

ChenMed is a family-owned and physician-led company transforming healthcare for seniors. The Market Healthcare Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, developing, coaching, and training Membership Growth Consultants to achieve membership goals in the region.

Responsibilities

Provides interim leadership support during Center Director transitions or vacancies for the performance of 6 to 12 assigned members of the sales team to achieve their quota of new member acquisitions
Trains the team on effective events, presentations, center touring, prospecting, and closing of prospective members
Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in terms of:
Sales applications such as Salesforce, DASH, and Availity
Eligibility criteria in terms of Medicare, Medicaid, Low-Income Subsidies, and Special Enrollment Periods
Organizes MGC activities and assists with event planning and coordination
Coaches underperforming MGCs to achieve key performance indicators, performance metrics, and individual production targets
Recruits, hires and trains MGCs to ensure the sales team is at full force
Hands-on involvement in MGC training and development to ensure an accurate understanding of the company's patient services, value proposition, patient qualification, and compliance requirements
Works with the Director, Growth and Business Development to accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly membership growth
Works closely with MGCs and community partners to plan and execute events, activities, and engagements that result in membership growth
Performs other duties as assigned and modified at the manager’s discretion

Required

BA/BS degree required; MA/MS degree preferred OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
A minimum of 7 years of sales experience required
A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role leading a sales team of direct reports required
A minimum of 2 years using contact relationship management tools
Highly developed business acumen and acuity
Professional knowledge and understanding of Sales and Business Development functions, techniques, best practices, methods, and strategies
Expert knowledge and understanding of insurance representative relations
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Low-Income Subsidies, and Special Election Periods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coaching salespeople
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate a staff
Ability to work well under pressure
Successful sales track record and practice managing or coaching salespeople
Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
Expertise in insurance representative relations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, database, and presentation software
Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 70% of the time
Spoken and written fluency in English
This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

Preferred

MA/MS degree preferred
Direct-to-patient sales and marketing experience preferred
Experience within the Medicare Advantage population strongly preferred
Experience working for a large, health insurance sales team or Medicare Sales Direct Marketing Organizations (field or telesales) preferred
Experience managing local marketing events
Direct Marketing Organizations experience preferred
Health Plan provider group experience preferred
Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally up to 25% of the time
Spoken and written fluency in English; bilingual preferred
