Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is a leading-edge technology solutions provider headquartered in Tampa, Florida. They are seeking an Electrical Apprentice to assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while undergoing a four-year Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities

Installing, repairing, or replacing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic, line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts
Installing, repairing, or replacing generators and industrial storage batteries
Installing electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the CEC and/or NEC
Installing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial equipment and connected devices
Communicating clearly and concisely
Maintaining a working knowledge of the NEC
Reading and understanding blueprints/schematics

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge
Needs to have a detailed knowledge of electrical codes and standards
Must enroll in the IEC program
Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, etc
Ability to read, speak and understand English
Knowledge of 'Safe' working practices (ex. OSHA, Lock Out / Tag Out)
Clean background with the ability to pass a required drug screening
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including overtime if necessary
Must be able to climb ladders
Must possess own transportation, as most locations aren't accessible with public transportation

Apprenticeship training preferred
Currently enrolled candidates preferred
