Responsibilities

Test and Inspect Low Voltage Switchboards and Panel boards to applicable standards

Use multi meter and electrical theory to verify power readings and circuit build to ensure accurate wiring and operation

Use Hipot, test cart, hand tools and various other tools to aid in testing

Use specialized software for testing/inspecting when required (i.e. Siemens WinPM, PowerConfig, Step 7, MicroWin, WinCC Flexible,SAP, etc)

Perform inspections/audits of electromechanical assemblies

Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities

Assist in training other specialists and employees as the need arises

Participate in best practice sharing with other facilities

Maintain and improve test procedures and documentation

Required

2 year technical degree or equivalent experience

Experience in the engineering or testing of power distribution equipment

Knowledge of power distribution components is required (Breakers, relays, communication devices)

Experience in a fast paced production environment

Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Strong work ethic with a focus on exceeding customer expectations
