Responsibilities
Ship High-Impact Code: Deliver robust and scalable code designed to serve our millions of users, ensuring our platform can handle immense growth and visibility
Drive Quality Through Review: Conduct thorough and respectful code reviews, maintaining the highest quality standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team
Be the First Line of Defense: Participate in the on-call rotation, leveraging your expertise to quickly debug and resolve critical security or performance issues
Champion Pragmatic Progress: Promote engineering excellence, favoring intelligent risks, small batches, and fast feedback loops to validate concepts and accelerate delivery
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of experience in backend development
Deep expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem
Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
Experience with software architectures, microservices, and distributed systems
Strong knowledge of API design and testing practices
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools
Security-First Mindset: Deeply passionate about security engineering, with a proven track record in authentication, security protocols, and application security
Java Expertise: 5+ years of experience with Java and expert in core concepts, including multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization
Technical Vision & Execution: Ability to design and implement robust, high-scale solutions from the ground up
Radical Ownership: Proactive, 'get-it-done' individual who can work independently to solve problems and ship value quickly
Proven Communicator: Fluent in English and can clearly articulate complex technical concepts
Preferred
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
Working knowledge of PHP and Shell Scripting
