Supply Chain Manager - SPT

Responsibilities
Provide direction to teams in Supply Chain. Analyze, resolve or escalate inventory issues. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks of Supply Chain teams meet standards
Resolve daily Supply Chain issues. Direct team regarding issue resolution and continuous improvement
Communicate to senior management Supply Chain and service issues with short and long term recommendations on resolution
Ensure inventory plans and execution of plans are consistent with Supply Chain goals
Provide support to internal manufacturing operations
Prepare and present forward-looking, future projections of inventory, volume, service, planning, capacity, and space considerations. Assure that the system parameters are correct. Manage communication between Teams
Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR typically manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environments
Day-to-day operations of a group of employees
May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact
Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops
Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies
Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning
Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
At least 5 years manufacturing, distribution or purchasing experience
Experience demonstrating knowledge level of MRP, buying, demand management and forecasting
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume
Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table)
Preferred
Experience in import logistics, inventory planning and transportation
Experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work
Experience with SAP
