Responsibilities
Lead the engineering and design teams, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant project deliverables
Teach, coach, and reinforce standard work practices to ensure each team member follows established design and engineering procedures with precision
Develop and maintain design standards that align with industry best practices and company objectives
Ensure that all engineering work complies with structural codes, safety standards, and project requirements
Provide technical direction, mentorship, and continuous training to engineers, designers, and drafters to promote professional growth and accountability
Collaborate with sales and project management to evaluate design feasibility, value engineering options, and constructability during the bid and pre-construction phases
Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of design drawings, 3D models, and engineering calculations
Drive process improvements to increase design efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across the organization
Monitor team workload, priorities, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all project submittals
Implement and reinforce the use of design tools and technology to enhance modeling, collaboration, and document control
Lead by example in attention to detail, ensuring that all deliverables are complete, accurate, and aligned with internal standards
Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed expectations for quality, performance, and schedule
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of engineering and design experience within the precast concrete or structural construction industry
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within a designated timeframe
Demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers and designers in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or other 3D modeling/design platforms
In-depth understanding of ACI, PCI, and ASTM standards and precast manufacturing processes
Prior experience developing or managing engineering standardization and training programs
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency using Titan ERP is a plus
