Director Enterprise Resource Manager
Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services organization that serves the Episcopal Church, located in Midtown Manhattan. Responsibilities
Conduct capacity planning for BU/CU/ITS and reviews planned activities to make sure they can be accomplished with the available resources and helps the project team look for alternate solutions, if necessary, by using capacity planning tools or a capacity planning template
Manages the analysis of workforce metrics to optimize human resource capacity planning and maximize labor utilization rates
Examine trends in resource availability and resource utilization, analyzing data to assess cost efficiency and adjusting when needed
Adjust the resource plan when curveballs come into play, like sick days, shifts in timeline, and changing client demands. Using techniques to solve these challenges: resource leveling and resource smoothing
Monitors workload capacity to help team members avoid burnout, optimize their time efficiently, and prevent any resource conflicts that arise when multiple projects need the same resource
Oversees quantitative analysis the creation of predictive models used for enhanced forecasting accuracy and improving workforce decision making
Guides efforts to automate data collection and analysis, creates visualizations, and develop new analytic tools
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect BU/CU/ITS functional area of responsibility
Collaboration required with portfolio manager, project managers, financial analysts, Human Resources and other applicable resources for alignment of project financials based on actual cost and schedule performance reflected in project schedules
Champion, lead and coach the resource planning and management function. Liaise with management leads in fulfillment of project staffing requests, prioritizing resource requests and resolving resource allocation conflicts for the project/product work
Work with resource managers and project managers for proper resource allocation, implementing the right resources for different projects. May use templates from past projects or spreadsheets to help find and assign necessary resources
Supports the development of schedules to prioritize needs and track resources coming in and outgoing. Accounts and justifies for new employees, contingent workers or professional services and obtain other company resources as needed to plan for a project
Defines and coordinates new or updated Resource Planning and Management tools, infrastructure and processes
Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration

Qualification
Required
BA/BS required
10+ years in capacity planning, business, product, strategy, or operations planning
Proven experience working with MS Office, Office 365 products and ERP systems that support project and resource planning, allocation and tracking
Proficient in understanding project budgets and managing financial resources effectively
Superior in analyzing data to understand project needs, forecast future resource requirements, and support informed decision making
Experienced in project management including planning, organizing and managing multiple projects to ensure they are adequately staffed and resourced
Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced environment
Ability to work well cross-functionally; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; strong written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to present information in a manner that can be understood by non-technical staff
Preferred
Capacity Planning and/or Project Management certification preferred
Proven experience in finance or analytical roles, including in modeling and portfolio assessment
