Big Ass Fans is seeking a visionary Senior Website Developer to spearhead the headless replatforming of their flagship websites and commerce platforms. The successful candidate will lead the technical design and implementation, oversee internal web development activities, and coordinate with third-party development partners to enhance digital experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and implementation of the headless replatforming of bigassfans.com and our commerce site

Oversee all internal web development activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards

Coordinate and manage 3rd party development partners, ensuring deliverables meet requirements and deadlines

Architect and implement robust APIs and integrations between BigCommerce, Contentstack/Contentful, Salesforce, Epicor Kinetic, and other platforms

Establish and enforce coding standards, code review processes, and best practices for security, performance, and accessibility

Collaborate with IT, Marketing, and external partners to define requirements, resolve issues, and deliver a world-class digital experience

Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams

Identify and implement process or technology improvements to enhance team productivity and site capabilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of experience in modern web development, including React, Next.js, JAMstack, and API-first/headless architectures

Proven experience leading large-scale web replatforming projects and managing 3rd party development teams

Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms (BigCommerce preferred), headless CMS (Contentstack/Contentful), and system integrations (Salesforce, Epicor Kinetic)

Strong knowledge of web security, performance optimization, and accessibility standards

Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills

Analytical thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
