Responsibilities
Work as a member of an Agile/SCRUM delivery team, handling frontend development of roadmap features, enhancements and defects, using our frontend frameworks & tech stack (MobX, React JS, HTML5, CSS3, etc)
Play a key role in design, implementation and delivery of roadmap initiatives
Communicate estimates, risks, and dependencies to technical leads and product owners
Create required documentation including high-level design documents
Participate in all standard Agile ceremonies to continuously improve the software development lifecycle, and overall quality of the engineering department
Mentor other developers with thoughtful code reviews and constructive feedback
Qualification
Required
BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree, or 8+ years equivalent experience
Experience developing and delivering consumer-facing solutions
5+ years developing Single Page Applications using React
5+ years experience in web markup with working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
5+ years experience working with RESTful APIs
Passionate about writing high quality and well-architected code
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members
Positive attitude with a constructive approach to challenges and respect for colleagues
Strong understanding of React JS best practices and conventions
Strong understanding of Single Page Application architecture and best practices
Strong understanding of External State Management Libraries such as Mobx or Redux
Strong understanding of Browser rendering behaviour and performance
Strong understanding of Object-oriented design patterns and best practices
Strong understanding of JSON and related libraries and technologies
Strong understanding of Source control systems & repositories such as Git, Bitbucket
Preferred
Familiarity with front-end tools for building & documenting components (e.g Storybook)
Experience with automated testing tools like Cypress
Experience with unit testing principles and tools like Jest and Enzyme
Experience working with component libraries such as Material UI
Working knowledge of full-stack Java web applications (Spring, Hibernate, JPA, etc)
Working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL queries
Experience utilizing JUnit and other testing frameworks
Experience with AWS technologies, including Serverless, S3, CloudFormation, CloudFront, et al
