Corporate Treasury Desk Strategist - Vice President

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President to join their Quantitative Strategist team in Treasury. The role involves developing, maintaining, and operating Treasury-related models while collaborating with various colleagues and leading significant deliverables in the Finance division.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
Developing and supporting P&L, Risk, Net Interest Income (NII), Liquidity models, hedge accounting, funds transfer pricing and Monitoring tools
Working closely with the Business, IT, and model control

Required

Advanced understanding of Treasury, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division
Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
Strong programming skills: At a minimum, this position requires programming in scala, KDB/Q, or C++
Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Preferred

PhD/Masters degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics or Physics preferred
