Employment Litigation Associate - New York
Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking 3rd – 5th year associates for their Employment Litigation group in New York. The role involves handling a variety of employment law matters, including litigation and client counseling, with significant responsibility and opportunities for professional growth.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Working on pre-litigation matters, high profile single plaintiff employment cases, systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions; responding to administrative charges; conducting internal investigations, counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues; and taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters
Manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, argue motions, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid-level associates
Qualification
Required
Must possess excellent academic credentials, and strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
At least 2 years of litigation experience
A completed JD from an accredited law school required
Must be a member of the New York State Bar
